Audio: The Love Notes: My Love Is Music
A few years ago, I collaborated with two friends to create a collection of poems, songs and stories entitled “The Love Notes”.
Contributing a song and serving as producer, I spent about two days to record and a week to edit this compilation. It later went on to be distributed on campus and to various school organizations. Although created separately, each poem comes together to tell a story of experiences driven by the emotions of love. Meanwhile, an African folk tale intertwines with each track to complement each bit of prose.
My favorite track is named “My love is music” by Eli Bamfo. This was the first piece we did together and the most involved in terms of creativity. Furthermore, I share the same love for music. Listen to it and take a journey throughout the various musical influences of Eli as she grew up.
