After asking somebody to sum up my past weekend it would be easy for them to answer.
If cold, depressing, inconvenient, sickly and exhausting were not choice words, then it probably would be misadventuristic (assuming that was even a word).
Why? Well where do I start?
I got lost in the middle of a forest highway, spent a few days very sick, had to change a car tire at 9pm in the cold, in the middle of nowhere with no light… only to make me sick again and just now, I just finished shovelling two driveways after half a foot of snow had fallen. Also note that the snow has continued to fall and additional shovelling is required. Despite all of this somehow I am thankful to the Lord for life, friends and family whose warmth and support get me through the cold, frustrating and unfortunate times.
I’ve had a new phone for about two months now and yesterday I downloaded an app for it that’s supposed to make it easier to blog from the phone. So this post serves as a test and possibly the beginning of more posts. Of course that requires me to get over the strenuous task of typing on a mini keyboard.
A new year does not necessarily mean I’ll be posting more, but it does mean I will TRY to post more.
So I’m just going to start off the year with pictures from last Christmas with the family. I am ashamed to say I do not have any pictures of Sharika, Sal, Sajee, Granny or Aunt Verbelle!! But they are, of course, strong in my memory. Anyone needing high quality versions just ask. Although these files are more than good enough for sending by email etc.
Some people have asked what that last post was about…the whole password thing. It was used for my annual scavenger hunt I do with my nieces on Christmas. The funny thing is, sleepless Christmas Eves are a direct result of setting this up. However it was worth it, we spent lots of time going around the house and outside to lead ourselves to the final prize. It was full of adventure, teamwork and lots and lots of laughs! Haha!
I would go in more detail about it because it was an awesome hunt, but I just don’t have the time! However, I did get a video clip of the final clue.
Think you can handle one of my scavenger hunts? Try your luck at figuring out the password for the exact same post that my nieces had to figure out themselves. Once you are in, you will see the second clue that they received. It may seem a little weird at first, but if you were doing the actual hunt it would make more sense.
(clue: there is a hint to the password in this post and the password is funny)
