Coffee Roll with lots of turkey, cheddar, mayo and pepper. As for my no meat diet, I am not following it so strictly. I did plan to do it for a while and then regulate my portions, which I have been doing. I still choose healthy options for the majority of the time. I don’t feel I failed my diet at all :)

We covered technology in airport security. So we talked about AMD and HHMD (metal detectors for u regular people). We also practiced doing pat downs and bag searches. I found it sort of intimidating, trying to do the right thing. But I had it down.

Tomorrow is a half day for us. We could have been taking the final exam but Karen and Santil-lah decided they were not ready, so out of the kindness of our hearts we voted to have the test on Friday.

That now means that I have to go all the way to the airport for an hour and fifteen minute test. Oh well

Diet still going great

I spent hours upon hours of my day trying to recover data from a dying hard drive of mine. I think I was successful, but the hard drive may have to go into the dump. I should have bought a new one on vacation since I knew this before hand. Oh well.

Today I was supposed to be welcoming a nephew into the family. However, it seems that it was a false alarm. I’m pretty excited to meet him. I’ll finally have a boy to teach the wonderful sport of football too. Unfortunately for him I have mini team of nieces that are well on their way of becoming top goal scorers themselves.

My diet is going well.. I havent slipped at all.

I tried to go get some lunch today. I had left some of the vegetable curry (or is it curried vegetables?), from last night, specifically to eat for lunch today. Turns out somebody decided to eat it for thier own lunch. My first reaction was to check a cupboard for soemthing canned. I took out tuna and quickly noticed how easy it is for me to pull out a can of meat without thinking about it. Luckily, although I didnt document it in my previous post about diets, I am allowed to eat fish and sea food.

So tuna is good to go!

I saw that there was chicken left out for dinner tonight… I wonder what i’m going to do!

Well today I’m apparently starting a new diet. My cousin Akili in New York was telling me about hte diet he is on where he basically stops eating meats. He said he started in October and has lost 80 pounds since. I am hoping to lose about 20. I think it would be a good idea to have a day off once a week. One of my main fears is to lose a desire for meat. I can’t imagine having a hamburger make me feel sick.

This morning, without a thought, I ate some sausages. I realized how easy it is for me to eat meat and how hard it will be to stop. This evening I took my first steps and, even though I had to order Indian food for the family, I made sure to order a vegetable dish that was safe for me. I did eat the sauces from the meat based dishes but I’m proud to say I didn’t actually eat the meat. I guess it would be a good idea to do research on this too.

Lets see how long this lasts.
